The Annapurna Region is the location of three mountains higher than eight thousand metres: Annapurna I (8091 m), Dhaulagiri (8167 m) and Manaslu (8156 m), and in addition an infinite number of magnificent, majestic mountains forming part of the Great Himalayas Range. Upper Mustang Trek

Upper Mustang Trek offers you a completely new experience, unique landscapes, culture and local traditions. It used to be a separate kingdom of Nepal until 2007 when Nepal was a monarchy. It is one of the restricted area treks in Nepal. Trekkers can trek here having obtained a special trekking permit from the Department of Immigration. The trek continues through desert areas resembling the Tibetan Plateau and ends in the former capital city of Mustang – Lo Manthang.

The trek is less crowded than the Annapurna and Everest Region.
